Despite only being 17 (in my head), I have nearly 47 years of experience in the financial services world.
Most of that time has been in Financial Planning, helping people to make great decisions about their lives, based on what their money can do for them.
I was a less-than-average pupil at school but managed to get both my University degree (a BA hons degree in Financial Services) and Chartered Financial Planner status in my early 50s. I’m a believer in life-long learning.
I also believe in total transparency, appropriate risk management and suitability for everything we do for our clients
My favourite parts of the work I do at Bamford Media include writing blogs for our FinCart site and interviewing clients for the Informed Magazine.
Away from work, I’m a football coach for Cranleigh Football Club, moving up the age groups with my group of players who are currently the U9s. Seeing them develop their skills, confidence and team work is a delight.
I still find time for reading, fishing now and again, and wasting a lot of my money following “The Gas” (Bristol Rovers FC) in the hope that one day they will get better!
Married to Andy for 44 years despite bringing her home three days early from our Honeymoon to take her to watch Rovers play! Two children (both on this website) and five grandchildren whose minds I can mess with.
