How to Record, Publish and Promote your Financial Planner Audio Podcast
Our first webinar of 2019 was broadcast live this morning. The replay is now available here if you missed it.
I was talking about how to record, publish and promote your financial planner audio podcast.
There are lots of good reasons for starting a podcast as a financial planner.
As things stand, there is very little competition in the UK personal finance podcasting space. I can count the number of financial planners currently producing podcasts on one hand.
Your existing clients and prospective clients are listening to podcasts.
Nearly 6 million adults in the UK tune into a podcast each week. That’s according to Ofcom.
The number of weekly podcast listeners has nearly doubled in the past five years. Now around 11% of adults listen to podcast, and it’s growing, fast.
Podcast listeners are loyal, affluent and educated. In other words, they are your existing clients and the type of clients you want to be working with.
Offering a podcast to your clients and prospective clients is a very effective way to reach them during otherwise ‘wasted’ time. I tend to listen to podcast episodes when I’m walking the dog, at the gym or driving the car; all times when reading or watching videos wouldn’t work.
Podcasting is a great excuse to connect – not just with listeners, but also with guests. It’s a brilliant way to build your network.
Within the webinar this morning I shared my recommendations for the equipment you need to record broadcast quality audio. Here’s some useful links:
Our next webinar, which will be broadcast live at 11am on Thursday 7th February 2019, is all about Writing, Publishing and Promoting your Financial Planner Book.
